Jefferson Animal Hospitals Expansion Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

KY Lt. Gov. joins Louisville’s only 24/7 animal hospital to celebrate expansion

Jefferson Animal Hospital adds space for new operations, new equipment, and new jobs

WHAT:
Jefferson Animal Hospital has finished an expansion project adding roughly 7,000 square feet to its flagship Hospital on Outer Loop, doubling in size for the second time in its history. Jefferson Animal Hospital is one of the very few animal hospitals in the country open every day of the year. Founded in 1978, the hospital began 24/7 care in 1980 and hasn’t closed its doors once since.

Media are invited to join Jefferson Animal Hospital and Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman as they celebrate the expansion with a ribbon cutting. They’ll be joined by many others who have been part of their 45-year journey, including the well-known “Ethan Almighty,” whose story shaped animal cruelty legislation in Kentucky. He’ll be reunited with the doctors who provided his life-saving care at Jefferson Animal Hospital.
